Here in Greater Des Moines, it's easy to be a kid. Whether your concept of family enjoyable is a skate park, a smash park, a theme park, or a real park, Des Moines is the perfect escape, no matter if you're young or simply young at heart.
Gee, what could be more enjoyable than spring break with the kids? Those gorgeous children leaping on the sofa, battling with each other, making a mess all over they go. It suffices to drive a parent wild. So, get out of your home. Here's a list of things you can do with the rugrats for complimentary, and they're fun, too.
The outside park is complimentary to go to every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Prepare yourself for a Nature Scavenger Hunt at the Upper Newport Bay from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This is developed for ages 7-12, however all ages are welcomed to join. Search for unique interpretive tables and posts along tracks around the Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center.
Free parking. The program "Planted Creations: Garden Art" is fun for grades 7-12 at the library. 4:30 -6 p.m. Decorate a terracotta pot with paint pens.
Activities take location at the nature. Free admission, however parking is $5.
